We saw a screening for the movie Rush last week. This is a Ron Howard movie about James Hunt and Niki Lauda, two Formula One drivers. I loved the movie. I thought they did a wonderful job with the casting. The main characters looked just like James and Nikki. There were some great camera shots and the movie left me wanting to know more about these two incredible drivers. I highly recommend that you see it.

We went to see We Are the Millers last week while we were in Florida. It was a really funny movie, I would definitely recommend it. There is definitely language in it so be forewarned if that bothers you. It was just us and two groups of "Golden Girls" in the theatre. They made the movie even better. Listening to them laugh was hysterical!
We were able to check out the new Carmike Boulevard 10 in Miramar. It throws you off a bit when you first walk in. There is no one to greet you and no obvious place to buy your tickets. We found out this is a new test concept. You purchase tickets to the right where you purchase concessions. To the left they have a soda/popcorn area. If you purchase these items you will be given a cup and bag at checkout, then you proceed to this area where they have the awesome Coke Freestyle machines. I love these things and they have four of them set up for a serve yourself style. There is an employee behind the popcorn counter ready to fill your bag. Popcorn and drinks are free refills no matter what size you purchase. I think this will take some getting use to and we were lucky that we went at a time when people were in school and it wasn't crowded. I can't imagine trying this out for the first time on a busy Friday night. Overall we didn't mind the new set up and of course love the Coke machines.

Whew, how do people do this? I mean work full time and actually remember, I mean find time to write on a blog! I have good intentions, does that count?
Tennessee has started the lovely season of Spring. Pear trees are excessive in my area and they are in full bloom. Driving around you see row after row of cotton balls on sticks. It is a beautiful sight, but man it wreaks havoc on anyone with allergies!
And speaking of allergies, poor Maggiemcdougal had a horrible reaction Wednesday afternoon. Her sweet face swelled up, distorting one of her eyes and she was blood red all over. After a dose of Benadryl she broke out in hives so off to the emergency clinic at midnight we went. I felt so bad for her. She was so itchy, it was like a kid with chicken pox. She was trying to do headstands to scratch the top of her head! Lots of love and medicine and she is getting better.We think her allergy to grass just got the best of her this year.
Gruesome injuries in sports this week, hokey player with his jaw broken after a full face hit with the puck and a basketball player with a wicked leg break...is it football season yet?!
The season finale of Justified is tonight, its just not right. Soon it will be sweeps for the rest of the shows and them BAM summer. It is a good thing I like summer in general! Though I would like it a whole lot more if I was in Hawaii...I'm just saying.
Rain in the forecast for the rest of the week. I am going to need some fins or something here soon. I am a sun kind of girl. In a few months there will be a mob hit out on me for saying this, but this girl needs some sun!!
